Drumbeat 1 is a 72' Irwin Ketch, designed specifically with the ultimate luxury charter in mind.  From expansive decks to a richly appointed interior, Drumbeat 1 provides up to eight guests with all the luxuries of a world-class charter yacht.  Four equally appointed double staterooms boast of roomy intimacy.  Designed for comfort, each individually air-conditioned cabin contains an en-suite bathroom with shower, plus ample storage.  Her modern ammenities combined with a crew renowned for their attentive service and fun-loving outlook, will ensure a charter to remember.  Regardless of the make-up of your charter group, this featured yacht can simply "do it all".  They specialize in any type of charter:  charters for families, couples, special occassions, party-goers, dive groups or a unique mixture of each.

Vince & Linda, the owners of Drumbeat 1 as well as Captain and Chef, have been chartering as a team for over 12 years.  They know what it takes to maintain a first-class charter yacht, create a relaxing atmosphere for their guests, and to simply "have fun"!  Chef Linda will tailor a menu based on your specific preferences.  Her award winning dishes and flamboyant presentations are designed to please any type of palate...those looking for lighter fare or for those wanting to go hog-wild!  Their First Mate Kirk, who has been with them for the past 8 years, rounds out this fabulous trio with his positive attitude and desire to please.  Together, their combined passion for chartering as well as their commitment to excellence shows through in their continual success as a charter team.  Whether your desire is to kick up your heels, learn to dive, or just relax with a cool cocktail in the on-deck hammock, the professional crew of Drumbeat 1 look forward to welcoming you aboard & catering to your every whim.

"This is our second charter on Drumbeat 1 in 15 months (first charter was an adult group, second charter was a family friendly trip) and it was as wonderful as the first.  So, it goes without saying that my answers to all questions regarding the crew and the boat are the same -- Outstanding!!! 

"Special kudos to Chef Linda for outstanding effort in the galley given our diverse eating preferences -- one committed carnivore who is anti-sugar, two semi-carnivores, two fish eating vegetarians, one vegetarian, plus one raw vegetarian.  Thanks to Captain Vince for being a great Captain and Dive Master/Dive Instructor for a large group.  He always knows the good spots depending on conditions.  "I suspect dealing with us was sort of like herding cats (four adults and two 13 year old boys is quite a handful, especially when three of the group need certifying).

Discover the underwater treasures as you learn how to dive: 

Captain Vince Stracener is a certified PDIC Dive Instructor.  Let him guide you, whether you are an experienced diver or a novice.  As a newcomer to diving, discover the underwater treasures as he teaches you how to dive.  While on vacation you can receive a resort certification and be qualified to dive for the duration of your stay aboard Drumbeat 1.  "Resort courses" (courses for those who are not certified or who have never been diving) are free of charge aboard Drumbeat 1.  In addition, 5 dives are included in your charter rate.  With onboard Dive Instructor, dive platform, plus complete dive equipment for 8, Drumbeat 1 sets the stage for a remarkable sailing & diving vacation.

When it comes to charter yachts, it's all about the toys...

In the toy department, Drumbeat 1 quite simply excells.  This is one of the reasons they have quickly become one of our "hot yachts" at Carefree Yacht Charters - they seem to have it all.  Toys include:  17.5' dinghy with 115 hp engine, complete dive gear for 8, snorkel gear, fishing gear, beach games, underwater camera, water skis, kneeboard, kayak, floating mats and scurfer (similar to a wakeboard).
