Her owners/crew, Vince & Linda, have been chartering in the Virgin Islands since the 1990’s and therefore know these islands inside and out, above water and below. They make a fantastic choice for any type of group, including couples or families. With her fun-loving crew, ample toy locker, plus comfortable and spacious accommodations, Drumbeat 1 is always a charter favorite.

Drumbeat 1 Amenities and Water Sports: Drumbeat 1 features a Captain, Chef, plus First Mate depending on the size of your charter group. She also offers full air conditioning and 4 Double cabins, each with en-suite bath. Her water sports include a 17.5’ dinghy with 115 hp engine, adult water skis, kneeboard, snorkel gear, tube, scurfer, 2 1-man kayaks, floating mats, beach games, plus fishing gear.
Drumbeat 1 Scuba Diving Package: Captain Vince is a Dive Instructor. He offers up to 5 dives during the week for certified guests. He also includes resort courses for his non-certified guests, allowing non-certified guests to complete a short course and dive to shallow depths under his direct supervision throughout the week. The yacht is equipped with 16 tanks plus dive gear for 8.
Our Charters aboard Drumbeat 1
Carefree Yacht Charters was aboard Drumbeat 1 as additional crew for two week long charters during the Spring of 2010. While we’ve known Vince & Linda for years, both as charter colleagues and friends, our first-hand experience as crew aboard two of their charters gave us invaluable insight about the fun and relaxation to be had on one of their charters.
Captain Vince is a true people person and fabulous host, making his guests feel right at home once they step aboard. He’s constantly on the go, whether telling sea stories, teaching diving, or taking his guests to one of the local beach bars. Meanwhile Chef Linda is a real pro in the galley, where she spends a large chunk of her day. Her efforts are well worth it - she continually amazes and surprises her guests with culinary treats from her galley. Together, Vince and Linda make a fantastic and fun charter duo. With years of experience behind them, their hard work behind the scenes appears effortless and their teamwork is seamless. They look forward to welcoming you aboard their home, Drumbeat 1.

The boat is spotless and so well kept! There is definitely that pride in ownership. Staterooms are comfortable; heads are clean and convenient to have in each stateroom. Crew was attentive and definitely has the customer service thing figured out! They know what they are doing and do it very well! Captain Vince certified my 4 boys in scuba and is safe and knowledgeable. Linda is a fabulous cook. She fed us well (maybe too well, as I gained a few pounds but it was worth it). She bakes her own bread everyday on board and made strawberry soufflé – fabulous meals everyday (breakfast, lunch, appetizer & dinner with dessert). First Mate Kirk assists with everything else to ensure that their guests are content and relaxed. I have only good things to say about Drumbeat - there was nothing bad - except leaving :) This vacation was everything I dreamed of and worth every penny - every single penny!
