Here's what Sam & Jen told Carefree Yacht Charters about their favorite type of charter group: "We do not have a "favorite," but based on the post-charter reviews received from our guests, we can confidently say that we successfully and graciously host all types of different groups aboard STARFISH. We identify with groups of couples who are escaping the rat race for a week and want to relax and have fun. We also are parents who sailed extensively with our kids (who are now grown) and are used to having kids aboard (we do have a minimum age of 5). Proclaimed "foodies" have given us rave reviews as well. We enjoy the variety of having different mixes of guests!"
Noteworthy Details: Starfish and her crew of Sam and Jen won "Runner Up for Best Yacht 52' Feet or Under" plus "Best Crew 52' Feet or Under" at the November, 2018 crewed charter yacht show in St. Thomas, USVI. Plus, at the July, 2018 crewed charter yacht show in Grenada, Chef Jen won 2nd place in the Chef's Culinary Competition and Captain Sam won 1st place in the Captain's Cocktail Competition.

GENERAL NOTES:
5 night minimum
For 6-night charters, divide weekly rate by 7 nights X 6 nights.
5-night charters are pro-rated per industry standards (charter rate div. by 6 x # of nights).
48 HOUR TURNAROUND REQUIRED BETWEEN CHARTERS

- STARFISH IS BVI-based, but is legally able to do USVI-only charters as well.- For BVI charters, the pick-up and drop-off is Village Cay Marina. STARFISH will consider alternative BVI ports upon request, but there may be an additional charge incurred. The charter rate includes BVI charter permits, licenses and fees.- For USVI charters, the pick-up and drop-off is Red Hook, St. Thomas
- STARFISH is not offering cross border USVI to BVI (or BVI to USVI) charters at this time.
SLEEP ABOARD:Sleep aboard the night before charter dates. 1/2 of daily rate per contract. (No per cabin rate).Rate includes: boarding after 5pm; welcome cocktail and snack (no open bar); dinner ashore at guests' expense; and continental breakfast. Departure at noon per charter schedule.
HALF-BOARD OPTION: OFFERED ON 7 NIGHT CHARTERS ONLY ($150 off per person)
Includes 7 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 3 dinners aboard. Requires 3 lunches and 4 dinners ashore at client expense.

Everything was amazing on Starfish. Jen and Sam were absolutely wonderful and super accommodating to all of our neediness! Jen is an amazing chef…everything she made was so good. Her pomodoro shrimp might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life…she served amazing food every single meal. We were all amazed at how great everything was. Sam had the perfect personality for us…always told pirate jokes when we were on the dinghy, which the kids really liked and are still repeating. Both Sam and Jen had very calming personalities that definitely helped us relax. We were super impressed at how clean Starfish is…definitely gives meaning to the phrase “ship shape”…absolutely immaculate.

Hi Tori and Lynne,
Tori, excellent recap of our experience with Jen and Sam, as they were the perfect combination of creative, calm and mindful! They were extremely professional and fun loving at the same time! Jen's cooking was OUT OF THIS WORLD... the chocolate souffle may be one of the best things I have ever eaten. Jen also did a themed dinner every evening which was super fun for all of the kids and the adults! She took pictures along the way and downloaded them to us before we left. Sam was a great entertainer with his jokes, and his accommodating personality was so much appreciated. Over the three days, he blew up an 8 person raft, a three person tube, and a floating mat then neatly stored everything each night. He lowered and raised kayaks and SUPs numerous times, along with the dinghy to accommodate our activity level.
We would highly recommend Jen and Sam and their beautiful Starfish!

I want to take a moment to thank you for a unbelievably fantastic trip. Words cannot describe how enjoyable this trip was for all of us. You both worked extremely hard to guarantee that we all had a fantastic time. It was, and is, greatly appreciated! The map and coozies will be a constant reminder of a memory that will be in our minds and hearts forever.
