A friends and family group that we booked aboard 56' Catamaran Altesse in February, 2016 said:
I found your services to be incredibly helpful - especially in the case that we were a group of people who had never chartered a boat of any kind before. We got prompt detailed responses from you guys tailored to our wish list and budget, as well as an education about the BVI and the very concept of chartering.

What's included in the rate ranges above?
The weekly rates noted in the charter costs table are considered "all inclusive", including 7 days/7 nights aboard a private yacht with professional Captain and Chef, 3 meals per day, requested beverages, standard bar, fuel, all expenses related to the running of the vessel, plus use of onboard sports equipment.
What's not included in the rate ranges above?
- Standard Crew Gratuity: A main cost excluded from the weekly rates quoted in the charter costs table is a customary crew gratuity. The standard amount is 15 to 20% of the charter rate. The gratuity is based on services provided throughout the week, can be scaled up or down based on service, and is at the discretion of the client. This amount is given at the end of the charter to the owners/crew or hired crew, typically payable in cash. Be sure to plan this amount into your charter budget.
- Other costs: Unless otherwise specified by a particular yacht, the published all inclusive rate does not include scuba diving, scuba equipment, premium beverages and fine wines, excessive alcoholic consumption, off yacht excursions, dockage (at guests request), telephone, airport transfers or similar expense incurred by the charter guests. Some yachts also charge for cruising taxes/permits or overnight air conditioning, etc. If there are additional costs that you will incur while aboard the yacht, we will let you know those costs at your time of inquiry.
Do the yachts charge a premium for Christmas and New Years Charters?
Yes. Christmas and New Year charters typically have a 10% surcharge added to the published winter weekly rate. Some yachts will charge an even higher flat rate for holiday charters based on their popularity. Yachts will require holiday dates which allow them to book both a Christmas and New Year charter. These charters must be at least one week in length or the Charterer must be willing to pay for a full weeks rate if wanting to charter the yacht for less than a week.
Is it possible to charter for less?
The charter costs table represents typical ranges, but there are occasionally available yachts which may charter for less. Review our current yacht specials to see a list of yachts currently offering published specials. Or, consider a charter of 5 or 6 nights as explained below.
What if we charter for less than one week?
A large majority of our all inclusive yachts offer 6 night charters at a pro-rated rate. Many of our clients do opt for a 6 night charter as this gets pro-rated on a straight basis and often brings particular recommended yachts into more affordable ranges. To determine 6 night rates, divide the weekly rate by 7 then multiply by 6. To determine 5 night rates, divide the weekly rate by 6 then multiply by 5. Please note that our minimum charter length is 5 nights.
Do the yachts offer lower prices for the summer/low season?
For a majority of yachts, summer/low season runs from May 1 through December 14 and winter/high season runs from December 15 through April 30. Most yachts now operate on a year round rate, but a handful of yachts will offer a slightly lower rate for charters during the summer season.
Will the yachts negotiate on price?
No. Our yachts set their own rates, have "published rates" within the industry, and have priced themselves competitively based on current market trends. However, several of our yachts do offer published specials throughout the year. Beyond these published specials our yachts will not negotiate on price for a charter of 8 nights or less. If you're considering a charter of 9 or 10 nights, certain yachts may offer a slight reduction in rate due to the length of the charter.
Will the yachts give a discount if you have meals ashore?
Many of our yachts offer half-board charters at a reasonable reduction in the charter rate. These half-board charters typically include 7 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 3 dinners aboard with the remainder of meals, or one meal per day, taken ashore at the Charterer's expense. These half-board charters will often cost more overall than a full board charter, where are of your meals are included aboard. If you only plan to have a couple of meals ashore there is no reduction in rate.
Do you offer charters with just a Captain aboard?
Some of our yachts do offer Captain-Only charters in exchange for a reduction in the charter rate. These charters include the Captain and yacht only, plus all expenses. Charterer's are responsible for provisioning, cooking, feeding the Captain and any crew, plus general clean-up throughout the charter. Please note that we no longer offer this type of charter for our clients.
