Catamaran Seahome

Catamaran Seahome is a 2016, 62' Lagoon catamaran offering crewed yacht charters in the BVI and USVI. She features a fly-bridge deck, on-board scuba diving and instruction, plus accommodations for up to 10 guests in 1 Master Queen cabin and 4 Queen cabins. Catamaran Seahome is a Carefree Yacht Charters high-end, exclusive selection for families, couples, divers or special occasions.

Here's what Brand & Jayde told Carefree Yacht Charters about their service style: "A great example of our service style would be our typical tour to Anegada. We pride ourselves in giving our guests a “tour” of the islands rather than just providing service on the boat. Every time we go to Anegada (and most other locations) one or more of the crew will always join the guests on shore, whether as a rental car driver, tour guide and cooler carrier :) this way we know that our guests are able to get the full experience and not miss out on anything they may not have known about, including a handful of secret spots that we’ll keep as a surprise."

We had an amazing charter. The food was fabulous. The crew was perfect. The destination was top notch. Captain Brand took us to the most perfect spots to anchorage at night and the perfect places to swim and snorkel. Could not have asked for a better experience. We will definitely contacting you for another charter in the near future. We would love to sign up for the newsletter.

    Hello Lynne,

Thank you for your follow up. And yes, please include me on your e-newsletter. We had a fabulous trip, Seahome was the perfect choice for our group!

Following are my thoughts / accolades for our charter last week.

This is the first sailing charter we have ever done, we have talked about doing this type of trip for a while and are so happy we finally did. First of all, I want to thank you, Lynne, for your patience and helpfulness after hurricane Irma hit, for guiding us how to best tackle plan B and change our trip to the Grenadine Islands. It was a tough decision to make, especially since we are not super familiar with the Caribbean and that part of the world, but are so grateful that we visited the Grenadine Islands - they were lovely and we had a great time.

As for Seahome and the crew, Jayde, Brand and Louise, we couldn't have made a more perfect choice. Jayde started contacting us soon after we submitted our charter preference form, making sure we felt welcome and had any, all questions answered ahead of our charter. Upon pick up in St. Vincent, which our crew kindly arranged for us, we were met with the three of the friendliest and most fun crew we could have imagined. From our first welcome cocktail to our sorrowful goodbyes at the dock in Grenada (we were so sad the week was over so quickly!), Jayde, Brand and Louise took care of our every need.

Seahome was the perfect sized boat for our group of two families, 8 people total. All sleeping accommodations were super comfortable, beautifully appointed and the A/C was a definite plus! I was so pleasantly surprised with all the amenities they furnished in the bathrooms with soaps, shampoos, hair dryers, even toothpaste. Seahome is such a new and beautiful catamaran, loved the modern finishes and tons of comfortable places to steal away with a book, play cards and games or just stretch out and enjoy the scenery. I think my favorite spots were the trampolines or little nook behind the outdoor dining table. Loved this beautiful boat!

The crew as I said above were amazing. First of all their knowledge and abilities were so impressive, and we knew we were in good hands right away. It was really nice to be with people who knew so much about the region such as where the best moorings were, what islands we would enjoy and they had all the right contacts and info to make it a well guided and enjoyable trip for us, we didn't have to worry about a thing - they took care of everything! Where to begin with Jayde's cooking...DELICIOUS! Everything prepared for us was fresh, healthy and so incredibly yummy! She and Louise took everything into account accommodating my husband's food allergies and making sure they had extra portions, knowing that three of our group are college age boys who eat a lot! Louise's baking and deserts were simply the BEST! Additionally, Louise offered to do workouts on the boat with us three ladies. We all like our workouts at home and she offered such a great opportunity to enjoy open air workouts on the bow of the boat...it made her desserts taste even better, haha! Another highlight was that when they could, they joined us for fun games into the evening. We had so much fun getting to relax with our crew and talk and laugh and get to know them a little better as well. To me that is one of the joys of travel, getting to meet new people and have new experiences and that was definitely the case with these three amazing people. That said, they always gave us our space and made us feel like it was our space to relax in and enjoy. These three expertly know how to strike the perfect balance to make guests feel welcome, comfortable, safe and happy.

The activities we enjoyed were numerous. First off, Brand took us to beautiful and interesting spots to snorkel every day. We had one certified diver in our group, who was able to dive and we had two guys who wanted to dive and are interested in possibly getting certified soon and Brand was able to take them on resort course dives and log two dives towards getting their certification should they want to do that later. They all loved the diving. Among the amazing things we saw snorkeling/diving: Giant Sea Stars, A Nurse Shark, A beautiful Manta Ray, Sea Turtles, countless eels and gorgeous fish and coral. We were able to throw the fishing lines out often and caught two black fin tuna, which Louise and Jayde quickly filleted and served up as delicious poke bowls - truly an awesome experience. We loved being able to use the paddle boards, kayak and fun inflatables at will in the warm Caribbean waters. One thing I noticed is with all the activity our crew made sure we were having the best time, but always made sure we did everything safely and within reason. Other highlights of the Grenadines for us were lobster Grill on the beach on Christmas Eve, the fun beach bars, hiking to Fort Duvernette at St. Vincent, Hegg Turtle Sanctuary, just to name a few.

This was an incredible vacation and I look forward to hopefully doing it again, perhaps to explore another part of the Caribbean in the near future. As far as Seahome and it's crew, I highly, highly recommend to anyone considering this type of charter, you won't be disappointed!

Lynne - The trip was absolutely amazing! Brand, Jayde and Louise were fantastic hosts.

    Comments:

From the moment removed our shoes, were handed a glass of champagne and stepped aboard Seahome to the final leg home, the trip was beyond expectations. Brand, Jayde and Louise were the ultimate hosts who thought about every need before we could think to ask. We were 4 couples and the boat provided more than enough room to both connect for conversation or relax in solitude.

We boarded the boat in Red Hook and immediately set out to St. John for the first of many delicious meals by Jayde. At the national park in St John, Brand took us through the itinerary taking into account all the activities that we had asked to do - spa in Peter Island, Scuba at Cooper Island, hike on Virgin Gorda at the BEYC, lobster bake at the Anegada Reef Hotel, waterskiing/tubing at Guana Island and bar hopping in Jost Van Dyke. There was honestly something for everyone to do and every day felt like a new adventure. During the sailing days, Brand was always quick with a story or geography lesson to help us better understand the region and the boat.

And the food...AMAZING! Jayde and Louise (Weezie) took care of everything. Weezie took care of all our beverage needs from Bloody Marys or Mimosas in the AM to Dark N' Stormys at night, we were never in need of a drink. And the meals...we ate very well!! Some favorites: perfectly cooked Filet on night one, amazing Shrimp Caesar Salad with homemade parmesan crisps, seared ahi tuna, scallop and halibut pasta and my favorite, homemade Key Lime Pie.

I could go on and on, but the trip was just amazing. The boat, captain and crew exceeded all our expectations. Thank you for steering us in the right direction. Trip of a lifetime.

I would love to get your newsletter
